About Me…in the moment
I am, more than anything, grateful. I am honored you’re taking your precious time to read about
me.
I’ve always been a “talker.” Growing up, my sister accused me of talking just to hear myself talk. That’s when I knew not everyone was interested in what I had to say. I kept talking anyway. Someone once told me that not everyone liked me as much as I thought. Interesting. I kept being me anyway, because plenty of people did appreciate who I was and what I had to say.
That’s why I am writing and still talking and standing up for what I believe in. My writing passion started young, during the days of pen pals when it was the universal and only affordable way of communicating. Like some writers, when they’re honest, I never fared well in English classes, but I kept writing anyway to express myself and not to impress anyone else.

After that, I dabbled with children’s stories, newspaper and magazine articles, a fitness book, a cookbook, screenplay, musical, countless social media posts, and finally my first published book. A book that had been festering for decades. A story that evolved as I evolved. A spiritual adventure that continues every single day. God is in the Odd, the Ordinary, and Outside Church was the story I was willing to put out into the world. Thankfully, it has been well received and inspired more writing.
Which leads us to this space in these times. I want a place to write and connect, a place where we can interact with respect. This website has been developed for us to get to know one another, have conversations, and explore other authors, musicians, and artists who share our spirit. For now, I write whatever moves my soul, any theme is fair game. Yet, my commitment and promise to anyone who graciously spends time on this website is that my words will be positive,
insightful, genuine, encouraging and honest.
A little more about me: I am…many things, but mostly I am about sharing our experiences with each other in a safe space, outside of social media, to improve our mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.
A Journey of... Health, Love, and Nature
The resume me: I have a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education and have been in the health care industry for more than 30 years including corporate wellness, senior adult care, and the pharmaceutical industry. I am a strong advocate for prevention, movement as medicine, meditation, and the healing power and sacredness of nature. I am open to book clubs, retreats,
collaboration with other authors, and health and wellness experts, and giving my voice and energy to other like-minded people of peace, love, and light.
The private me: I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 36 years, we have four children, three grandchildren, and one big dog. I have lived in Ohio my entire life, beginning in Boardman, then living in Columbus after college, and for the last 28 years in the Cincinnati area.
